My first ever red carpet for Beat 102 103 was at the Irish Film And Television Awards and it was lots of fun. I got to meet loads of celebrities like the lads from Moone Boy and Jack Reynor who’s goin’ to be in Transformers. I was a little bit scared interviewin’ people for the radio. I sent this podcast to your man from Moone Boy and Jack Reynor on Twitter but neither of them wrote back! It’s a pity coz they were rides. Actually the chap from Moone Boy wasn’t be he was really funny. I plan to do a lot more red carpets now I have me first one out of the way. I need a whole new wardrobe though for stuff like this. I need a sugar daddy!

Today’s song is Bump In The Night by AllStars

Ah I love this song. AllStars only had 2 songs which was this and a cover of The Land Of Make Believe but I wish they’d had more. They were one of these happy boy-girl groups that kinda came about after Steps but were never as successful. I liked this song. I do it on the show every Halloween.

The video is hard to come by actually. I remember coz we were lookin’ for it for something and couldn’t find it. I don’t know what happened to the people in the band after they broke up. I hope it was something good. They look like nice people.

Oh it was in the Scooby Doo movie too!!

Worst Valentines Present

I know Valentines Day was ages ago but still so was this podcast and it doesn’t really matter coz this is my blog and I can write what I want unless someone sues me. So I decided for the Ryde Report on Valentines Day to ask people what the worst present they ever got was. Some of the stuff that people said was perverse and not something I could put on a breakfast show on mainstream radio! I mean where do half of these perverts come from and why do they seem to follow me around.

Anyway have a listen to what the semi-normal people had to say.

Today’s song is And I’m Telling You by Jennifer Hudson

I know it wasn’t Jennifer Hudson who released this song first but I like her version of it. Poor Jennifer. She finished like 6th or something in American Idol and then suddenly became a big movie star winnin’ an oscar for Dreamgirls and then some lunatic goes and kills half her family. God love her. Some nut job that was married to her sister killed her mother, brother and nephew and fair play to Jen, she came out stronger after it. She played Winnie Mandela in a movie which I didn't see. I like her in a movie actually. She was good in that Secret Life Of Bees film. I saw it on a plane one time. Alicia Keys was in it too.

Anyway, here’s our Jen outshinin’ Beyonce in Dreamgirls!

Busy Busy Busy

Yes I have returned from Spain in case you were wonderin’ where I was! Had a few adventures along the way that I’ll talk about some time in the next few days! The main reason I haven’t been bloggin’ is that I had to buy a new computer coz when I came home, me hard drive was fried. Crap buzz but ah well! I’m back in the game. I said IN the game, not ON the game!

Celebrity For A Day

I guess this is kinda the opposite of yesterday when I asked people which Celebrity they wouldn’t like to be in Big Brother with. Actually it’s not really. The question was, if you could be a celebrity for a day who would it be and why. Ya can listen to all me podcasts at or ya could just listen to the Ryde Report on Thursday mornings on Beat Breakfast on Beat 102 103. I’m gettin’ good at this pluggin’ thing amn't I?

Maybe you should start answerin’ the questions! If you were a celebrity for a day who would you be and why? Comment below!

Today’s song is The Ballad Of Tom Jones by Space & Catatonia

This is a class song. Actually I don’t think this song is played enough ANYWHERE! I think they should play this on every radio station in the world at least once a day. I was a big fan of Catatonia back in the day. Road Rage was a favourite of mine. I don’t know whatever happened to them. I was less a fan of Space but sure they weren’t the worst and some of their songs were good. Hands up if you have no idea who I’m talkin’ about??

Well this song is The Ballad Of Tom Jones and it’s about 2 people who are married and want to kill each other but don’t because Tom Jones saved them. It’s gas. Go TOM!

Celebrity Big Brother

Ah Celebrity Big Brother. It’s one of those things that comes around and ya hear people talk about but never actually watch. I remember Big Brother used to be good. Back when it started many moons ago.

Anyway, I decided for my Ryde Report for whatever week this was on the radio (Thursdays at half 9, Beat 102 103) to ask people what celebrity they’d least like to be stuck in the Big Brother house with. I had a list actually but I have to be nice to people until I’m a big star and THEN I can slate them!

Today’s song is Pure & Simple by Hear’Say

I loved Hear’Say. I never watched Popstars or whatever the name of the programme it was they came from was. I just remember wakin’ up one day and this song was EVERYWHERE! Actually listenin’ back on it, it’s a decent enough song. I know some of the people from Hear’Say are still knockin’ around doin’ stuff. Is one in Coronation Street? And Myleene Klass has been the face of Marks & Spencers and hosted loads of TV stuff. I don’t know where the lads are. Probably workin’ in B&Q.

The song was covered by a band that Nicole Scherzinger was in before she was in The PussyCat Dolls. I can’t remember what they were called and it’s really not that important!

Interview with Kiera Dignam

I just wrote this entire post out already and forgot to press publish before I closed it down.

This was the first interview I did on the radio, not like the usually chattin’ to people on the street I do so was a little bit different. I did it over the phone as well so was a little bit harder to interact and don’t think me comedy came across that well so the ones I’d planned to do after this I didn’t bother. No I’m much better in person!

Me and Kiera actually go way back! We were like sisters growin’ up. God love her, she got some stick coz her da (Christy Dignam from Aslan) had a bit of a go at the show the year before. Bressie wasn’t too impressed.

Anyway here’s the interview.

Today’s song is When Will I Be Famous by Bros

Ah this is a good one. Not that I remember when it was out but I’ve heard it since. I always thought Bros were Norwegian. Like for years I would say it to people when ever Bros were mentioned and it turns out that they were never even Norwegian to begin with! And I’ve been to Oslo. It’s expensive!

Me ma says me aunty Linda was mad about Bros. She had their posters on her wall and everything. I’d say they were the height of famous back then! The 1980’s version of One Direction. Let’s not lie, I would. Although I wonder what they look like now!

Bad TV Shows

Are ya bored of me podcasts yet? Ya better be like “No JoJo, we LOVE your podcasts.” Which is proper order. So we’re into the new year and over the Christmas and New years podcasts that we’ve been chattin’ about the last few days. This one is all about bad TV shows and there was loads on at the time which is where I got the idea from.

I decided to start askin’ people at the JoJo Show in Dignity although by the time I started askin’ the questions everyone was locked.

Remember ya can catch me live on Beat Breakfast on Thursday mornin’s at half 9 for the Ryde Report.

Today’s song is Just Like Jesse James by Cher

Ah Cher!! She’s been around since the dawn of time and at the end of the world she’ll still be around and lookin’ more like a Lego figure every day. God love her. She must be in her 70’s now and she’s still goin’ strong. This song is back in her leather phase that kinda weirds me out a bit. I prefer her dance granny phase when she had Believe out. My mate Divalicious is a big Cher fan. She wants to be her when she grows up.

This song is about some chap called Jesse James who may or may not have been a cowboy in the Wild West. I would go on Wikipedia and read all about him but I really couldn’t be bothered. Just watch the bleedin’ video!

New Years Revolutions

Yay we’re finished with the Christmas podcasts! I actually liked them but I understand it’s March and time to move on. So after Christmas, we were on a bit of a break from Beat Breakfast and so this is the first podcast to not be broadcast on the radio. I made it especially for the internet coz I knew me fans would be missin’ me. All 3 of them!

I decided to ask people about their New Years revolutions and because it wasn’t on radio I could talk about things I amn’t normally allowed talk about like drink!

Today’s song is You’re So Vain by Carly Simon

This is a great tune. I bet ya think this song is about you?? Actually I can’t remember who it’s meant to be about. Someone said Marlon Brando. Does that seem right? I know Carly Simon (not to be confused with Carly Rae Jepsen) has had loads of songs out but I actually don’t know any of them apart from this. It’s a good one though. You see women in boots singin’ it at karaoke all the time. This and Black Velvet.

I actually know lots of the words to this song and that never happens to me, not even to songs I do meself. It’s about some fella who thinks he’s great. I’m guessin’ that’s why it’s called you’re so vain. See I am smart!

She sounds great live, fair play to her!

Celebrity In Your Stocking

Oh I forgot this one! It was from the week before the last one. Again remember you can catch me every week on Beat Breakfast at half 9 of a Thursday by the way! I kinda have to keep pluggin’ that or you’ll think I just make these podcasts for a bit a laugh and that’s not true. I actually do have a purpose behind makin’ them.

So yeah, for this one I thought I’d find out what celebrity people would like to find in their Christmas stockin’s when they open them on Christmas mornin’. Again, people spoke all manner of shite but I dug through that and came up with this!

Today’s song is I’m A Believer by The Monkees

I thought love was only true in fairytales. Ah this is some song isn’t it. I was never a huge fan of the Monkees. I wasn’t alive when they were out of course but they used to show the TV programme on RTE when I was a kid. I remember I didn’t like it and the fellas on it were all weird.

As far as I know, The Monkees were put together to be on the TV show and then they went and released singles and hit the charts. S Club 7 did it years later. Ya know I think it was something about the theme song that freaked me out and that weird Monkees walk.

I actually like Smash Mouth’s version from Shrek better.

Worst Christmas Present You Ever Got

AGAIN, it’s not Christmas anymore but bare with me. Is it bare? Or bear? I don’t know. Anyway, as I’ve said before I’m just postin’ these in order and right now it happens to be around the whole Christmas time so that’s what I’m postin’ about.

So this Ryde Report (Thursdays at half 9 on Beat 102 103) was all about the worst Christmas present people received. I got some strange answers and some of them I actually couldn’t put on mornin’ radio. There’s some amount of perverts out there really isn’t there. Dirt birds.

Today’s song is Wuthering Heights by Kate Bush

Everyone loves a bit of Kate Bush and if ya don’t, ya should. This song is one of my favourites of all time and for years I hadn’t a clue what it was about until it dawned on me that it’s about a book called Wuthering Heights that was written by Emily Bronte about some chap called Heathcliff and some girl called Cathy. Fair play to Kate, she’s nothing if not a visionary. I heard someone say that about her before and not actually sure what it means but I’m sure it’s nice.

This is a great song though isn’t. Cathy wants to get into Heathcliff’s window for some reason. I really should go and read that book. I have it somewhere. Me agent said I have to start readin’ the classics with me bein’ an author and all, although I’m still on the kids ones!

And for some weird reason, there’s 2 videos!

Toys From Childhood

Ah this was a fun one. I ended up chattin’ to people about this for ages. Vinny was mad to hear all about me Barbie called Trevor. Poor Trevor. Yeah so it was the Beat Breakfast Toy Show for the whole week and so I decided to have a bit of a laugh and do a special Ryde Report based around that. It brought me back to me own childhood growin’ up on the Northside of Dublin. Ah the memories. Again, I know it’s a Christmas theme but I’m just postin’ these every day in the order they were made. I hope that’s not goin’ to be an issue. To be fair, we’re nearly finished with the whole Christmas thing anyway and sure it’s only 9 months away anyway!

Today’s song is Walk On By by Dionne Warwick

I have a feelin’ that this song is actually not originally a Dionne Warwick number. Actually I’m off to Wikipedia to check it out. Hold on there. No I was right! It was Dionne Warwick and it was written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David. They were the Gary Barlow of their day for the song writin’ so me ma tells me.

Dionne Warwick was Whitney Houston’s aunt! Did ya know that? I only do coz it was in My Best Friend’s Wedding. I like her song about San Jose. I think it’s called Do You Know The Way To San Jose? They didn’t have Google Maps back then. I was in California and I can confirm that it’s north of Los Angeles.

Actually I think this song might have been in an Austin Powers movie!

What’s Your Favourite Christmas Song?

Again with the Christmas theme here on the blog but I’m goin’ in order so deal with it. This report was good fun and we got a bit of a debate goin’ on Twitter on Facebook and ya know me, I like stirrin’ up a bit of opinion.

I got all sorts of weird answers and decided to have a little chart at the end coz I was kinda bored and couldn’t think of anything else to do. I like my little chart run down actually. I’d be AMAZIN’ on Top Of The Pops! Say nothin’ about Jimmy Saville!

Oh this was recorded in Waterford Institute Of Technology. They’re all mad there!

Today’s song is Running Scared by Ell and Nicki

Thought that with today be Eurovision song that it was only right that today’s song should be the song that won in 2011! The lovely Ell & Nikki with Running Scared. Ell is hostin this year and looks a lot more of a ride. I want to go to Azerbaijan now!

Winning The Euromillions

My next Beat Breakfast Ryde Report took me all the way to Carlow of all places to ask people what they would do if they won the Euromillions. The answers I got were very strange bein’ honest but then again, it is Carlow. I’d love to win the Euromillions. I’d buy a football team. Granted they probably wouldn’t be a good football team but you’re talkin’ at least League Of Ireland.

So the things people said they’d spend their Euromillions money on was a little bit strange. It was 170 Million euro that week so clearly everyone and their granny was out doin’ it. I don’t have a granny!

Today’s song is Irlande Douze Points by Dustin

This is probably the strangest moment in Eurovision history. In 2008 Ireland decided to send one of its biggest stars, Dustin The Turkey. While we started out as one of the favourites, the rest of Europe started to think that we were rippin the piss out of them and so poor Dustin didn’t make the final however what Europe didn’t get was that we WERE tryin to rip the piss out of them and so the followin year the jury votes were re-introduced! Go on ya good thing!

Christmas Shopping Advice

Me 3rd report for Beat saw me head out onto the streets of Waterford to talk to the lovely people about their shoppin’ tips. Of course approachin’ strangers on the street is somethin’ I had to get used to really quickly when I started workin’ on the radio. I used to use a microphone with Beat written on it and now I just use my phone so it looks a little strange but then again, people think I’m nuts anyway so I’m not that bothered.

This one was good fun actually coz people were in great spirits and bein’ really nice and it wasn’t even that cold out so it was a nice enough day. I got great tips for me shoppin’! Yes I know it’s about Christmas and it’s now March but it only started snowin’ last week. Actually there’s some more Christmas ones comin’ up in the next few days!

Today’s song is Drip Drop by Safura

Back in 2010, Azerbaijan wanted to do everything they could to win the Eurovision. They thought that if they did, people might look at them differently so they decided to spend lots of money on bringin in the choreographer from Beyonce’s Single Ladies video. Sadly, Safura was drawn to go first in the competition, nearly impossible to win from however they ended up winning the year after!

Me at the Nicki Minaj concert

Continuin’ on from yesterday’s start of me podcasts here on the blog I decided to continue. Actually I was plannin’ to continue all along but shush! Isn’t also magic that I’m in Spain and the blog is still goin’! LOL

The second report I had to do for Beat (I’m on Thursdays at half 9) was at the Nicki Minaj concert at the O2 in Dublin and I was tryin’ to get an interview with the great woman herself. Clearly I went to watch the concert first, chatted to a few people there for the show and then headed backstage to try find her. Didn’t go accordin’ to plan but at least I tried! SPIT ON ME NICKI!

Today’s song is Diva by Dana International

I’m enjoyin Eurovision time! I’m goin next year, I don’t care!! Dana International took Europe into the 21st century with Diva, bein the first transsexual to win the competition and doin wonders for LGBT rights throughout the world. Plus the song is really good!

Irish Conker Championships

Okay so I’ve been bringin’ yiz all me videos over the last few months and recently someone asked me to start postin’ all me podcasts too although I don’t know why they can’t just go to and listen to them all there!

If you want to listen to me live ya can. I’m on Beat 102 103 every Thursday mornin’ around half 9 and repeated again that night AND on Saturday mornin’s! Beat can be picked up in Waterford, Wexford, Tipperary, Carlow, Kilkenny and places near there or online OR on the app which ya can download for your iPhone or Android! Now I did all me pluggin’!

So this is the first podcast I ever recorded. I was sent to the Irish Conker Championships in Freshford in Kilkenny. Beat didn’t really know what was gonna happen but fair play they took a chance on me and this is how it went!

Today’s song is All Kinds Of Everything by Dana

Back in 1970 Dana won the Eurovision song contest for Ireland, givin us our first win. I got to meet Dana when I was on the All Ireland Talent Show and we had a great chat about all things Eurovision. This is actually the song I performed on the telly! She loved my version!

Horse Inside

Sometimes ya have to make parody videos while the thing you’re talkin’ about is popular and so that’s why I made this! It’s about the whole horsemeat thing that’s been goin’ on and I thought it’d be funny to make the video and see how it goes. I used the Rubberbandit’s song Horse Outside coz it was kinda the obvious choice to make a parody about horsemeat of. I was testin’ out me new wall in the spare room for green screenin’ but sadly it didn’t work out and so I had to make big changes in the edit. Ah well. Turned out alright. People love a bit of Supermarket Sweep.

Today’s song is My Lovely Horse from Father Ted

Yes I know it’s a bit strange to be throwin this in there in the middle of Eurovision Song of the day week but ah well. My Lovely Horse is from the programme Father Ted which was very big in Ireland and UK (I know lots of people not from here read this so educatin yiz here now) It never actually was a real song in the Eurovision by the way, although we did send a puppet one year!

Friday, 15 March 2013

Ah Here Leave It Out

This video is hauntin’ me at the moment. The idea came when I was listenin’ to it and thought “What if I used a sample on one of my songs the way Britney says Britney bitch on this one” coz it’s from Gimme More or something and then it dawned on me. I’d use Ah Here Leave It Out coz that’s what everyone was goin’ around sayin’ at the time and so I did a bit of YouTube rippin’ on the original and through the sample in on top of what what I’d recorded. Dr Dre actually hasn’t a patch on my production skills.

Anyway, since I uploaded this people shout Ah Here Leave It Out at me all the time, so much so that it’s now banned in Dignity. It’s gas when Americans watch it coz they don’t have a clue what’s goin’ on!

Today’s song is Ooh Ah Just A Little Bit by Gina G

This is probably one of the best known Eurovision songs and was Gina G’s biggest hit. She represented the UK with this way back in 1996! Seems so long ago. Classic tune! By the way, Gina lost to Ireland and she was Australian. The following years winner for the UK was Katrina and The Waves, an American!

Santy Baby

I’d always planned to do something called the 12 days of Christmas in the run up to the big day last year but could never get the time to get it done so in the end I decided to just do this one video! It was a toss up between this and my version of All I Want For Christmas Is You and I chose this. I got me new pyjamas in Penney’s and went downstairs to the Christmas tree in Dignity, set up the camera on me own and filmed it! LOL. See I’m multi-talented!

Today’s song is Save Your Kisses For Me by Brotherhood Of Man

I’ve decided to move on to Eurovision songs of the day seein as that’s the mood I’m in right now. The first is this classic that won for the UK back in the 1960s. One of the greatest Eurovision songs EVER, especially the little dance. Awww!

Nicki Minaj in a swimsuit

Ya know I’m a big fan of Nicki Minaj and I tend to spend most of my Saturday nights performin’ her songs on the bar in Dignity. Well clearly I get excited when she has a new song comin’ out. I loved Starships as ya can tell if ya click on that word there!

Anyway, she’s a new song comin’ out with Lil Wayne called High School and this is a shot from the video! Nicki likes doin’ videos in bikinis doesn’t she. And she’s a fine pair of boobs on her! She’s an American Idol judge these days too. I don’t watch it.

Nice wig.

Nicki Minaj bikini

Nicki Minaj swimsuit

Kick Ass 2 trailer

Did anyone else like Kick Ass? I thought it was a bit graphic bein’ honest but good none the less. I don’t be able for blood. I can’t even watch Grey’s Anatomy without feelin’ sick.

Anyway, Kick Ass 2 is out in the summer and the first trailer is now online. Aaron Taylor-Johnson is back along with Chloe Moretz as hit girl. Jim Carrey is in it as Colonel Stars & Stripes although I don’t know if that’s a good thing coz he annoys me. He’s probably the most annoyin’ Canadian person ever.

What do you think of the trailer? Kick ass is out on July 19 in the UK and August 16 in the USA.

Alan Cumming is not in the new X-Men movie

Well the whole thing about who is and who isn’t in X-Men Days Of Future Past has kept me and probably you too well entertained here on the blog. We’ve been told Halle Berry is back and we know Hugh Jackman is goin’ to be in there too as well as Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore and loads more. Last week in an interview with Heat Radio, James McAvoy said that Alan Cumming would be back. Ya might remember he played Nightcrawler in X-Men 2. Well it’s been confirmed now by the man himself that he won’t be back for the new movie which is a pity coz I liked him.

X-Men Days Of Future Past is out in July 2014.

nightcrawler Alan cumming

I’m Too Sexy

I’d always planned to get a puppet for makin videos coz sometimes it’s not that easy to go and get dressed and then go and shoot a video! I thought if I could have someone to just do it instead of me it’d be so easy and that’s where the idea for this came from. The song was recorded ages and so it was just a case of putting them together to see what’d happen. I ended up makin a little appearance in the video meself. Bet ya can’t even notice the jump when the shot changes and I sneak back in to operate the puppet!

Today’s song is You Spin Me Round by Dead Or Alive

Ah good old Pete Burns! Interestin fact. I saw him in Gran Canaria a few years ago off his face sittin on a stool outside a bar, asked him for a picture and he just stumbled away, the rude bastard. I heard after that he was meant to perform but trashed his hotel room instead. Fuck him! Lol

Anyway, today’s song is You Spin Me Round, one of the hits of the whole new wave thing in the 80s. I wouldn’t remember.

We Are Never Getting Back Together

The very first time I saw the video for the original Taylor Swift song I knew I wanted to make a parody. I sat down to write it and it came so easily! God that sounds filthy! Anyway we just went about recordin it and more ideas were comin as we were writtin and we ended up with what I think is one of the best videos we’ve ever done! Go me!

Today’s song is Relax by Frankie Goes To Hollywood

Frankie says Relax! Or so I hear. For some reason, this song was played like mad in gay clubs in the 80s. I wouldn’t know, I wasn’t there and don’t ask me why. The video was banned in loads of places for some reason. Wouldn’t be me favourite now to be honest.

ABBA’s Agnetha Faltskog is back

I’m a big ABBA fan and I just heard today that Agnetha Faltskog will be releasin’ a new album soon! The first single has just been released and it’s called When You Really Love Someone. She has a song on her album with Gary Barlow so dyin’ to hear that. This song is actually really good once ya listen a few times. I wonder if it’s gonna hit the charts here! I hope it does. You’d miss ABBA all the same. Not that I was old enough to remember them the first time but I’m sure ya know what I mean!

What do you think of Agnetha’s song?

So Denmark are favourite to win Eurovision

I’m a little bit surprised about this coz I really thought Cascada would be favourites. I tend to keep an eye on the Eurovision odds in the run up to the competition and usually put a bit of a bet on. This year I have Germany at 10 to 1 although the odds have drifted to 16 to 1 since I placed the bet so I’m a little bit ragin’. Not too sure if Cascada have the momentum now to do the business BUT a few years ago, Azerbaijan were nowhere near the front of the bettin’ until the last few days and then flew up and won.

The song that is favourite at the moment is this tune by Emmelie De Forest and it’s called Only Teardrops. It’s not bad actually but sure I’ll keep an eye here on the blog and let ya know if there’s any change. There’ll be LOADS of Eurovision stuff comin’ up in the next few weeks so keep your eyes peeled. How can ya keep your eyes peeled? That’s a stupid sayin’. And I’d say it’s sore!

I’m sick!

So if you’ve been wonderin’ where I’ve been the last few days and are kinda devastated, all I can do is say sorry. Actually I’m not sorry! I’ve been in bed all weekend with a cold. I feel crappy, me muscles won’t move and there’s a severe amount of snot comin’ out of me. I’m bored though so I got out of bed to get on the computer. Someone send around some Calpol!

Empire State Of Ya

This was a little bit different to the other ones I’ve done because the video was filmed way before the song was written! I always knew what way the video was gonna be though and I didn’t wanna do one where I sing the song which a lot of the videos are so this one was a bit different. We’d a good laugh with it though. Actually I did. My poor camera man was in an awful mood with me but feck him! LOL. Yeah it was a little stab at these Irish rappers, some of who are good like that chap from The Original Rudeboys and some are AWFUL and think they’re the reincarnation of Tupac! So it was a bit of a pisstake of them!

Today’s song is Pass The Dutchie by Musical Youth

I went around singin this for years as a child before I realised what it was about. In case ya didn’t know, a dutchie is a joint so this song is all about gettin stoned. This really isn’t the type of things kids should be singin. Bit of a one hit wonder. I’d imagine they’re somewhere workin in Argos.

Good Times

Sometimes when I write a song I know I want a video for it but don’t have any idea what the video is gonna be. I think I’ll go and shoot something and put it together after to see how it turns out and that’s exactly what I did with this. I never planned anything. I just went downstairs to Dignity and started shootin after the Saturday Show one night. At the end, I was walkin upstairs and I said “I have about 4 times the amount of footage I need” and that’s where the idea for the 4 way split came from! This video has been up on the screens in Dignity since it went live!

Today’s song is Paradise City by Guns N Roses

Don’t ask me why but this song always reminds me of when I was young. I’ve never even seen the video before now so not really sure how. Whatever happened to Guns N Roses? Are they still about? This song is in Rock Of Ages by the way!

Give Me Chicken Nuggets

I was actually afraid at how this song would go because the Madonna, Nicki Minaj and MIA version wasn’t that much of a hit. I think the album was a total bomb but ah well. I liked it though and I loved the video so I just thought how do we replicate that as easy as possible and this is what we came up with. It was actually simple enough really and involved me lookin a bit like Madonna and shakin me pom poms! SIMPLES!

Today’s song is I Don’t Like Mondays by The Boom Town Rats

Yeah I know Song Of The Day can be a bit mad with days so forgive me this once! This song is one of those ones that you always see on programmes when they show Top Of The Pops in the old days. This is Bob Geldof at his finest, before he became a saint.

Friday, 8 March 2013

Gypsy Wedding

This is the song that took my parodies to another level! Before this I was happy with a couple of thousand views at most. I think Hard Knock Life had about 10,000 and the rest were all less than 3000. Some of the non-parody ones were around the 20,000 mark. This one shattered that and all the parodies have since gone mental. Most of them are over 10,000 now!! It also help me get about 500,000 views in the last 6 months of 2012.

The idea was so simple. I’m a big fan of Nicki Minaj so when I got a chance to do one of her songs I ran at it. Starships was huge when it was out and I’d just been watchin loads of My Big Fat Gypsy Weddings and so I combined them. What’s mad is the outfits are only on my front and there was nothing behind me! LOL. It was just material we attached to me bra and knickers!

When the video went live we got some amount of feedback and comments. Lots of travellers were unhappy at what I was sayin in the video but a load of them got in touch to say they loved it. My own traveller friends loved it and started spreadin it around. I got a tweet off Thelma Madine from My Big Fat Gypsy Weddings saying she loved it and she showed it to the girls on Thelma’s Gypsy Girls. Was lovely I must say. I’ve even been told that DJs in the Canaries have been playin it!! Ya know you’ve made it when they’re playin ya in the Canaries!

Today’s song is Tragedy by The Bee Gees

This one is probably better known these days from Steps version but it was the Bee Gees who first released the song way back in the 70s. The Bee Gees are probably the most famous people from the Isle Of Man. This song just makes me wanna get up and dance!

Can I Get An Amen?

Any fans for RuPaul’s Drag Race out there? If you’re not, you really should be. It’s one of the best reality shows on TV at the moment although it’s not on OUR TVs here in Ireland but that doesn’t stop me downloadin’ it every week. I don’t know if that’s legal and I don’t ACTUALLY care. Anyway, this week the queens had to create a music video and this is the result! I think it’s great fun!

Bonnie Tyler will represent the UK at Eurovision

Well I’ve been waitin’ to see who the UK would pick after Germany went with Cascada and now here it is! They’re sendin’ Bonnie Tyler who you might know from her big hits in the 80s Total Eclipse Of The Heart and Holding Out For A Hero

The Eurovision song is called Believe In Me and the word is that Bonnie is actually very popular in continental Europe. She said "It is an honour to represent my country and is also a wonderful way to ensure that my song Believe in Me reaches the widest possible audience. It is a very strong, catchy and melodic song that appeals to a wide range of people. Desmond Child partially wrote this song at the dinner table at his house in Nashville whilst we were all eating together."

Of course last year the UK sent Engleburt Humperdink and came last so not sure if this tactic is workin’ for them

Brazilian Jujitsu

I’ve been meaning to put me podcasts on the blog for ages and just keep forgettin’ about it! I’ll start puttin’ all the ones I’ve done so far up in the next few days! Here’s the one from today. If you want to listen live, ya can catch me every Thursday mornin’ on Beat 102 103 at half 9.

This week I had a Brazilian Jujitsu lesson! Was lots of fun!

Never Gonna Drink Again

This is a song I’d been performin in me live shows a while but I’d never done a video for. I’d always planned to and even attempted it at some other stage but in the end it never happened so I decided to just go for it and this came about. It was a simple enough one actually coz it just involved me pretendin to be drunk which I’m great at. We kinda played off the idea that it was a sequel to Aldi Vodka!

Today’s song is Together Forever by Rick Astley

Rick Astley was in some band in the 80s who then went solo and ended up in posters on bedroom walls of women all over the place. This video is so 1980s that I’m actually jealous that I’m not there. Rick looks like great fun! Would love to go for a drink with him!

Beyoncé goes blonde

We all love a bit of Beyoncé and now she’s gone blonde for her new promo poster for the Mrs Carter Show World Tour. The first concert is in Serbia on April 15th. Serbia’s a strange place to start. I’ve never been there. I was in Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro which is next door. You have to call Bosnia-Herzegovina by the way or they don’t like it.

Anyway Beyoncé (I’ve to press 3 buttons at once to get the é) is in the new poster for the Tour which is sponsored by Pepsi. They must be payin’ her a fortune. It’s Beyoncé after all!

She had to add dates on the the UK leg or her world tour after they flew out in ten minutes. She’s playing the Virgin Media V Festival too. She’ll be in the O2 in Dublin too at some stage! Someone buy me tickets!

Bleeding Crazy

Carly Rae Jepsen was a big hit last summer with Call Me Maybe and it took me a little while to get into it and then it hit me with a bang. I wanted to make a video for it and couldn’t think of anything that’d work and suddenly I came up with Bleeding Crazy and the stalker idea. This is where JP follows me around bein a pervert. It was filmed in Waterford’s Viking Triangle in the middle of tourist season so ya can imagine the looks we were gettin off the yanks! The fight scene at the end went a bit wrong at one stage when I hit him in the leg with a bottle!

Today’s song is I Drove All Night by Roy Orbison

The Celine Dion version of this song is one of my favourite songs of all time and the Cyndi Lauper version isn’t too bad either. Not a huge fan of this version even though it’s the original. It has a bit of a Ghost Riders In The Sky guitar vibe in the background though which I like. He’d be no Celine.

Shite found in IKEA cakes

Well at least it’s not horsemeat! The latest scandal is now that some form of bacteria normally found in poo was found in IKEA Almond cakes. Ya really don’t know what you’re eatin’ these days at all. The cakes were bein’ sold in restaurants in 23 different countries and IKEA say none of the contaminated batches were sold.

A spokesperson for IKEA said: "Traces of coliform bacteria have been found in two isolated production batches of almond cake with chocolate and butterscotch, produced for the restaurant, from one supplier in Sweden. There is no health risk associated with consuming this product. The production batches have, as per safety and quality routines, been tested for bacteria that can cause health issues, such as E.coli, and none of these pathogen bacteria have been found. However, since the product does not comply with our strict food quality standards we have decided to withdraw the concerned production batches from sale in the 23 affected countries. The UK and Ireland are not affected."

Batman unmasks himself

Yesterday I posted about a chap dressed as Batman who handed a suspect into the local police station! Well he’s unmasked himself today. I actually can’t type I’m laughin’ so much so just read what Digital Spy wrote!

A man - who handed a wanted criminal over to police while dressed as Batman - has come forward to reveal his identity.

Bradford's disguised vigilante has unmasked himself as Stan Worby, a friend of the suspect Danny Frayne who was wanted in connection with fraud offences.

The 39-year-old Chinese takeaway delivery driver revealed that he had received a call from the suspect asking him for a lift to the police station so that he could turn himself in, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Explaining his unusual attire, Worby said he had just returned from a football match at London's Wembley Stadium, which he had been to in fancy dress.

He had been at the game when Frayne phoned him, and he agreed to drive his friend to the station as soon as he got back to Bradford.
Police had previously attempted to contact Frayne to try to persuade him to hand himself in. They had also been in touch with his friends and family to enlist their help.

Worby said: "It was a joke at the end of the day and Danny wanted to go to the police station. I had spoken to Danny during the week and tried to knock some sense into him.

"It was getting on my nerves having police around all the time asking for him or his whereabouts.

"Danny's a good friend of mine and I've known him for 15 years or so. Who knows if I'll be doing some more crime-fighting in the future?"

Frayne has been charged with handling stolen goods and fraud offences, and will appear before Bradford magistrates on Friday (March 8).

New Iron Man 3 trailer

Right I promise this is actually the last superhero thing I post about tonight but I just couldn’t NOT write about the new trailer for Iron Man 3 because it looks SOOOOO good. I love the Iron Man films and I love Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark so I’m really excited about this and it’s the first movie in the second phase of the Avengers and with Disney ownin’ them from the start this time it’s bound to be good. I can’t wait. I need to go change me undergarments.

Justin Bieber turns up 2 hours late for London show

Justin Bieber shirtless

You know I’m a big Justin Bieber fan and if anything, we’d look much better as a couple than he does with that Selena Gomez one. I was ragin’ I never got to see him when he was in Dublin last week.

Well last night his fans, the Beliebers if you will, were not too impressed when he showed up a whole 2 hours late for his show in London! He was playin’ in the O2 and some parents even left early with their kids after the wait was too much. That seems a bit pointless after spendin’ the money and makin’ your way all the way to the Millenium Dome. Of course they took to Twitter in their thousands to complain because loads of kids left cryin’ their eyes out. It’s not like he didn’t show up! He did. At 10:35pm but he still showed up and Jaden Smith AND Carly Rae Jepsen were there as support acts.

The O2 apologised but no reason was given for Justin being late. I swear I had nothing to do with it!

Tomb Raider reboot will be about a young Lara

Any Tomb Raider fans out there? I liked the first 2 before it started to get a bit weird. The last one I played had goddess and demons and all sort of crap. What in the name of god?

Anyway, there’s a new game out today and it’s a reboot of the story. Not only that, there’s a movie on the way too and that’s going to be a reboot and won’t feature Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft.

The head of the company that make the game said of the studio  "They are working from this new take that we've given them, It's a good partnership. We're seeing the challenges through the same lens. It was important for both of us to have a cohesive version of the franchise. We didn't want to see a film version that was a continuation of the old 'Tomb Raider' films."

So who do you think should play Lara Croft? Apart from me obviously?

Amazing Spiderman 2 set pic

I really liked The Amazing Spiderman a lot more than the first 3 Spiderman movies with Tobey Maguire and that Kirstin Dunst misery face wench. Andrew Garfield is a little ride and Emma Stone was very good. They’re filmin’ the sequel at the moment with Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson. I don’t actually know who she is but she works in that sandwich shop in the picture and accordin' to a nerd I know the Russian bookstore next door is important coz of a one Russian character in the film, Paul Giamatti's Aleksei Mikhailovich Sytsevich, AKA The Rhino and so he’s the one that caused this mess. Can’t wait for this! Have ya realised by now I like superhero movies?

In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) finds life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can't come quickly enough. Peter hasn't forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen's father to protect her by staying away – but that's a promise he just can't keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past. The sequel hits theaters on May 2, 2014.

Out Of It

This one was such a rush job! I had the song written, recorded and produced, video shot and edited all within about 5 hours, the Monday after Loreen won the Eurovision with it. It was such a simple one actually. We just tried to mimic her performance from the Eurovision a bit and go all kinds of mad. Was a laugh actually. Although it was rainin which you can’t actually see so I got REAL wet!

Today’s song is Brown Girl In The Ring by Boney M

Don’t even ask me what this song is actually about but I LOVE IT! This has a special place in the hearts of me friends and me but that’s a long story. Boney M were great weren’t they! I hope they make some form of comeback!

Oz The Great And Powerful out this week

I actually can’t wait until this comes out on Friday! I actually haven’t been to the cinema in a while so will be lookin’ forward to seein’ this. I’ve always liked The Wizard Of Oz and LOVE Wicked so dyin’ to see how this turns out. I’ve high hopes!

The full trailer for Disney's fantastical adventure "Oz The Great and Powerful" starring James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams and Zach Braff. Directed by Sam Raimi (The Spiderman Trilogy).

Disney's fantastical adventure "Oz The Great and Powerful," imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum's beloved wizard character. When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he's hit the jackpot—fame and fortune are his for the taking—that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone's been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful wizard but into a better man as well.
Oz The Great and Powerful opens in UK cinemas 8 March 2013 in stunning 3D.

Thelma Made Me Beautiful

This song has a very special place in my heart coz the person who it’s about actually asked me for a song! It’s about Thelma Madine who ya might recognise as the dressmaker from My Big Fat Gypsy Weddings. She was my video of Gypsy Wedding and loved it so much that she showed it to all the girls from Thelma’s Gypsy Girls. She was tweetin me and asked for a song and this is what I came up with! Really enjoyed makin this. Interestin fact is that we just made the dress from bits of material we had and put lights in it! LOL. Clearly Thelma would do much better!

Man dressed as Batman brings in burglar

This is a strange one! A man dressed as Batman in the UK has brought a burglary suspect to the local police station. Sounds like a great chap. He vanished into the night though so no one knows who  he is. This from RTE News.

A mystery man dressed as Batman demonstrated the same crime-fighting skills as the caped crusader when he handed over a suspect wanted for burglary in Britain.

Closed-circuit television footage showed a portly figure wearing an ill-fitting costume including gloves, cape and mask, bringing a 27-year-old man to a police station in Bradford in northern England.

The suspect was arrested and charged with handling stolen goods and fraud-related offences, said the force. But the costumed crime-fighter disappeared into the night without leaving his name.

"The person who brought the wanted man into the station was dressed in a full Batman outfit," said a spokeswoman for West Yorkshire Police. "His identity, however, remains unknown."

The suspect was handed over in the early hours of 25 February, said police who released photos of the footage.

Halle Berry confirms she’s back as Storm in X-Men

Halle Berry Days of Future past

I brought ya the story the other day about Halle Berry and X-Men Days Of Future past and now it’s been confirmed that she’ll be back for the sequel. I’m happy to be honest coz this is gonna be an epic movie now with a great cast. Ragin’ I’ve to wait a whole year for it. Wolverine is out this year but there still isn’t a trailer for that for some reason!

Halle told Black Tree TV "The fans really love Storm, and so I'm really happy that it's worked out that way, No matter what my part will be or won't be, to be a part of that is always a good thing. I love it."

As ya know, Halle played storm in the first 3 X-men movies. She’ll join a HUGE cast includin’ Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page and Shawn Ashmore on the film, with Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Nicholas Hoult reprising their X-Men: First Class roles.

X-men Days of Future Past will be released on July 18, 2014.

Today’s song is Leaving On A Jetplane by John Denver

This song is kinda sad coz it means goodbye. What’s weird is John Denver died on a plane which makes it a bit freaky really. It’s a lovely little song that makes me sing along whenever it comes on. EVERYONE – “I’M LEAVING ON A JETPLANE” SING IT!

Jamie Lynn Spears is engaged

jamie lynn spears engagedI don’t know if it’s actually news by Jamie Lynn Spears is engaged. She had a baby a few years ago and lost her gig on Zoey 101 because of it. You’d know she was related to Britney Spears wouldn’t ya!

Jamie Lynn is engaged to Jamie Watson who she’s been with for 3 years. I think her baby is older than that so he’s not the baby daddy. The baby daddy is in fact Casey Aldridge accordin’ to Wikipedia and her daughter Maddie is 4. Of course big sister Britney broke up with Jason Trawick just 2 months ago. I’d say Christmas day is great fun in the Spears house!

Daft Punk’s new album

Daft Punk haven’t done much since the Tron Legacy soundtrack and before that it was a while but lately they’ve signed to Columbia records and now last night they released a little snippet from the new album after their appearance on Saturday Night Live. I like Daft Punk. They’re definitely my favourite helmet wearin’ French dance music act.

Omar Sy joins X-Men Days Of Future Past

Omar Sy Days Of Future PastI’m not actually sure who Omar Sy is but he’s just been cast in X-Men Days Of Future past. The director Bryan Singer has been releasin’ bits of information on his Twitter and already people on the internet are wonderin’ who Sy is goin’ to play. There’s a lot of talk of Bishop and any of yiz of a certain age who watched the X-Men animated series as kids will know who that is. Personally I’m goin’ to have a bet on him bein’ Apocalypse! Can’t wait for this film now!

Do They Know It’s Christmas

Ah this was fun. We decided to do a group video in Dignity with me, Charmin, Diva and the Glee club and this is what we came up with! It was a bit of fun actually and we wanted to make it is cheesy as possible. Each of the vocals had to be recorded separately and then layered over each other! Look at me bein technical. The video was simple enough actually. We used some live footage of us performin the Glee version that night on the show and then recorded the extra bits.

Today’s song is My Way by Frank Sinatra

The man, the voice, old blue eyes. Me da’s a big fan of Frank Sinatra and so here he is today with My Way. This song can generally be seen bein sung by people leavin a job/partner/anything. Good tune!

Wear Suncream

This one is as old as they come. I think I wrote it about 6 or 7 years ago and it was based off something I’d heard on FM104 in 1999 by JimJim Nugent who’s now the breakfast presenter. I basically used the old reliable WWJD? or What Would Joanna Do? and changed it all up a bit. This was probably one of the hardest videos we ever had to shoot and edit because every single line was a separate take and then they all had to be put back together with the original song! Was a mess. Think it took me 10 hours to do in total and that’s on top of the 2 hour shoot. Ya might notice it starts to turn to dusk at the end.

McDonald’s customers buy $250 worth of fries

This is gas! Customers of a McDonalds restaurant in South Korea were removed after they spent $250 on fries! There’s a new trend in Asia where groups of people are going in and buyin’ enough fries to cover a table. This picture was posted on Tumblr! Sounds like a dream!

Man dies in Florida sinkhole

This is a very odd story! The ground just collapsed under this man in Florida and killed him. The full story is from RTE News.

Engineers plan to resume their work at a Florida sinkhole at daylight to do more tests on the unstable and dangerous ground that swallowed a man in his bedroom.

They have already determined that the soil in the slowly growing sinkhole around the home is very soft and believe the entire house could eventually be devoured.

Jeff Bush, 37, is presumed dead after the earth opened under his bedroom, swallowing him.

About the only thing left was the TV cable running down into the hole.

Sinkholes are a hazard so common in Florida that state law requires home insurers to provide coverage against the danger.

The sinkhole, estimated at 6m across and 6m deep, caused the home's concrete floor to cave in on Thursday.

It gave way with a loud crash that sounded like a car hitting the house and brought Mr Bush's brother running.

Jeremy Bush said he jumped into the hole but couldn't see his brother and had to be rescued himself by a sheriff's deputy who reached out and pulled him to safety as the ground crumbled around him.

"The floor was still giving in and the dirt was still going down, but I didn't care. I wanted to save my brother," Jeremy Bush said. "But I just couldn't do nothing."

He added: "I could swear I heard him hollering my name to help him."

Officials lowered equipment into the sinkhole and saw no signs of life, said Hillsborough County Fire Rescue spokeswoman Jessica Damico.

A dresser and the TV set had vanished down the hole, along with most of Bush's bed.

"All I could see was the cable wire running from the TV going down into the hole. I saw a corner of the bed and a corner of the box spring and the frame of the bed," Jeremy Bush said.

At a news conference last night, county administrator Mike Merrill described the home as "seriously unstable."

He said no one can go in the home because officials were afraid of another collapse and losing more lives. The soil around the home was very soft and the sinkhole was expected to grow.

Engineers said they may have to demolish the small, sky-blue house, even though from the outside there appeared to be nothing wrong with the four-bedroom, concrete-wall structure, built in 1974.

Florida is highly prone to sinkholes because there are caverns below ground of limestone, a porous rock that easily dissolves in water.

A sinkhole near Orlando grew to 122m across in 1981 and devoured five sports cars, most of two businesses, a three-bedroom house and the deep end of an Olympic-size swimming pool.

More than 500 sinkholes have been reported in Hillsborough County alone since the government started keeping track in 1954, according to the state's environmental agency.

Jeremy Bush said someone came out to the home a couple of months ago to check for sinkholes and other things, apparently for insurance purposes.

"He said there was nothing wrong with the house. Nothing. And a couple of months later, my brother dies. In a sinkhole," Mr Bush said.

Six people were at the home at the time, including Jeremy Bush's wife and his two-year-old daughter. The brothers worked maintenance jobs, including picking up trash along highways.

Samantha Mumba playing Dublin

I love Samantha Mumba and have the pleasure of knowin’ her personally. A nicer girl you couldn’t meet. Well we’ve been tryin’ to get her for Waterford Pride for AGES but haven’t been able to confirm. She is however playin’ in FAG in Dublin next week! Gonna try go and see her. In the meantime though, I’ll be doin’ this gem on the show tonight -

Did Cascada steal Euphoria?

So as ya probably know at this stage, Cascada are goin’ to represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo, Sweden this year but already there’s a bit of controversy. They’ve been accused of plagerisin’ (that means ripping off) last year’s winner Euphoria by Loreen! I won’t lie, there’s a bit of a similarity but only a bit. I love both of them. Have a listen and tell me what you think!

Today’s song is Jump by Van Halen

The younger readers out there might know this song from Glee when they make an ad about mattresses but back in the 80s Van Halen was the man when it came to guitars, or so I hear. See through drums?? How cool is that. I think everyone should put this song on loud and dance around their bedrooms and then air guitar when the solo comes on! WOO!

The Smiler at Alton Towers

This looks AMAZIN’! Want to go on this ASAP! I’ve been to Alton Towers 3 times and had a lovely time.

From Towers Times -

The Daily Mail have reported that The Smiler was created by pyschology experts using a wide knowledge of mind tricks.

The Smiler, which was revealed in the game to contain hypnotic swirls, flashing lights, and various other potential effects is set to push thrill-seekers to the limit by the pyschological effects which will 'blur the line between illusion and reality'.

The Smiler Alton Towers

Katherine Duckworth, who contributed towards the concept of The Smiler has said:

'This ride will put not just your body but also your mind through its paces'

'We want people to get off the ride and not know what is real.

'There are five different mind effects, which are all designed to mess with your head. You shoot towards giant syringes, spinning hypnotic wheels, and flashing lights, among other things.'

Each of the five elements on The Smiler are reported to be more than just scenery the rider passes. The intention for each element is to act a psychological trigger designed to keep passengers on the edge of their seat through disorientating and misleading them. Whilst riders are hurtling towards the giant needles of The Inoculator, or screaming past the rotating brush of the tickler, the threat is only presented in the rider's mind. As the brain worries about the giant imposing threats from The Marmraliser, riders will not be expecting the huge drop that lurks around the corner.

Who are the judges for X-factor UK this year?

Well there’s all sorts of rumours flying around at the moment about the judges for X-Factor UK! First it was reported that Tulisa left and now it’s bein’ said that she didn’t and she’ll be back. Then there’s talk of Simon comin’ back as well as Danii Minogue, Cheryl Cole and Sharon Osbourne AND new people like Mel B and Robbie Williams! I’m already bored of it and it hasn’t even started!

From The Daily Mail -

“Simon hasn’t made his mind up. Sharon was about to sign up as a judge on Australia’s Got Talent but that’s now been put on hold so she can remain available for The X Factor if needed,”

Horsemeat found in Taco Bell

Not actually IN Taco Bell but in some of their beef products. They’re the latest ones now involved in this horsemeat saga that’s after takin’ Ikea, Tesco, Findus, Birds Eye and god knows who else. I’m not overly bothered about it to be honest. Unless people start dyin’ we’ll be grand. Like we’ve obviously been eating it before now and didn’t know about it so what’s the difference now that we know? Of course I made a song about it!

Marvel Land coming to Hong Kong Disneyland

So in keepin’ with the whole superhero vibe, I’m bringin’ ya this bit of news about Marvel Land coming to Hong Kong Disneyland. Of course we all know that Disney bought Marvel for 40 Billion a few years ago and now this is the first time they’re bringin’ the characters to an attraction in a theme park! I haven’t been to Hong Kong yet so I’ll visit when it’s built. Some Hong Kongish chap said this about it -

"In the coming few years, Hong Kong Disneyland will launch a new night-time parade and put in place a themed area featuring "Marvel heroes," the first of its kind in the world."

Not sure if he realises that there’s a Marvel Superhero Island in Universal Island’s Of Adventure in Florida! I was there! It’s lovely. You know how I like a good ride.

Universal's Islands Of Adventure

Halle Berry back for new X-men movie!

I’m a huge fan of the X-men movies, mainly coz I want to have a special power when I grow up. Something useful like not getting hangovers. Anyway, in case ya didn’t know, there’s a new movie coming out in 2014 called X-Men: Days Of Future Past and it includes James MsAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellan, basically ANYONE who’s been in an X-men film to date. It’s all time travel and that kind of thing. Halle Berry hasn’t been officially confirmed but website Shadow & Act had this to say -

"she did confirm to me that she would be returning in the role. Most likely. Practically 90% sure. And she nodded a lot too. I can't say, and neither could she say that it's definitely a done deal, and that the contracts have all been signed, with all the "i"s dotted and the "t"s crossed. A few details that are still being negotiated which she couldn't get into. But since she did tell me that the film starts shooting in April, it's highly unlikely that talks are going to suddenly and horribly fall apart at this point, and the producers have to scramble to find a replacement at the very last minute."

Also it’s been confirmed that Jennifer Lawrence will wear a body suit as Mystique instead of being painted in which must be nice for her. Body paint itches terribly in the groin area.

Things have been really quiet here in Blogland* because things have been so busy for me BUT I’m determined to come big bigger and badder than EVER! Starting……..NOW!

*not a real country! I checked on Wikipedia!

Pot Noodle

This is one of those strange songs that I was kinda hummin to meself for a while before I thought “There’s a song in there”. I’d be walkin through Tesco and suddenly be goin “POT NOODLE!" and so one night I got home from me late night shoppin and wrote it. The idea was pretty simple. We wanted to make it a little bit like an ad but then it’d turn into a sex line which is what happens at the end. The bit where I was hungry and heated it up with the car engine was actually a lot tougher to film than it looked! Ya might notice the lightin got a lot better in this video than the last ones. We’d bought a flood light to help us out with that! Go Woodies!

Today’s song is Whole Again by Atomic Kitten

This was a hit way back when Atomic Kitten were still together although rumour has it they’re tryin to make a comeback. There’s 2 different versions of this song, one with Kerry Katona and one without. It all seems so long ago!
